The shea is an eatable fruit, which possesses a precious core. An almond can be withdrawn from the core; once washed and dried, it is crushed, roasted, and put in paste. Then the butter is extracted, scalded, elutriated, filtered, and conditioned to make a paste, which is transformed into cooking grease, soap, facial cream, or gel bath. It is said that it attenuates wrinkles! Speak to the women from Burkina Faso who, for a long time, knew its virtues.

In Burkina Faso, the grease of shea is used for many therapeutic functions, but especially to cook food and manufacture soap.

It is the third product of export of Burkina Faso, after cotton and cattle.
